Where appropriate, remedial treatment works carried out by Rudders & Paynes are covered by our own guarantee, valid for up to 20 years, which is issued following completion of the contract.

In addition to our own guarantee we are able to offer a fully independent insurance backed guarantee which is also for a period of twenty years. This is available through our membership of the Guarantee Protection Trust. An independent limited company, the Guarantee Protection Trust has no shareholders and distributes no profit, its capital and earnings to be exclusively devoted to the provision of its guarantee protection scheme.
The cost of the guarantee is dependant upon the size and overall contract value of the remedial treatment works, with a single registration fee providing the twenty years cover.

Rudders & Paynes was a founder member of the industry body; The British Wood Preserving and Damp-proofing Association (BWPDA). This organisation has recently become the Property Care Association (PCA), our membership number is: 5219.
The PCA is an independent scientific and advisory organisation specialising in the technology of timber preservation, damp control and building repair. Membership of the PCA is dependant upon the company conforming to stringent requirements in respect of surveyors’ qualifications, technicians training, and compliance with applicable legislation and insurances. Also, the overall ability of the company to operate as genuine Specialist Remedial Treatment Contractors.
The PCA monitor our performance by means of regular inspections of our offices and contracts in progress to ensure operational Codes of Practice are being adhered to and that our quality of work, administrative systems and professionalism all meet the high standards that they require.
